The Rain Oculus is a unique take on sustainability and sunroof in one. It collects up to 200 tons of rain water that is recycled back into the streams inside the Shoppes. As the world’s largest indoor waterfall, it is an interactive and awesome part of Singapore architecture. It is free to see, however, in order to sit by it, you will have to eat at the nearby restaurant or book a Sampan ride. Please note that the water does have to collet before it is released into the indoor streams – so it’s very likely it may not be actively flowing when you visit. It still makes for a unique sunroof though!

38. Bugis+
📍201 Victoria St, Singapore 188067
✔️Open Daily!
Yes, this is yet again another mall with an impressive atrium and loads of dining options, but what stands out the most is actually the exterior. Decorated with geometrical charms in addition to its stand out pedestrian overpass, this part of Singapore architecture is ofter overlooked and under appreciated. But I thought it looks iconic with its touches of greenery, especially since it isn’t even located on Orchard Road. It is also right by the popular Bugis Street entrance. There is a rooftop green space!

If you can’t make it out to southern Singapore to see the Alexandra Arch for yourself, the Jiak Kim Bridge and the Roberttson Bridges are its little babies. 59. Centennia Suites
View this post on Instagram

60. Tribeca by the Waterfront & the Grand Copthorne Waterfront
View this post on Instagram
📍60 Kim Seng Rd, Singapore 239497/392 Havelock Rd, Singapore 169663
✖️The Tribeca is not open for visitation BUT ✔️ of course the Grand Copthorne Hotel is!
These two are down the road from the Mirage Tower, and are worth checking out for their defined beams and pronounced edges, unlike the Mirage. I group them together not just because they are neighbors, but because these two pieces of Singapore architecture are part of the smaller skyline surrounding the southern end of the Singapore River. Rooms at the Grand Copthorne start at S$270 a night.
61. Watermark @ Robertson Quay

📍1 Rodyk St, Singapore 238212

The Watermark are modern condominiums built on top of older warehouse buildings, meaning that this Singapore architecture has a blend of old and new. 📍317 Outram Rd, Singapore 169075
✔️Open 24/7!
This tank of a building stands out – its is brown and circular in a city of geometry, blues, and greens. One would almost say this Singapore architecture is ugly (from the outside). You be the judge! Rooms start at S$180 a night.
64. Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay
View this post on Instagram
📍2 Magazine Rd, Singapore 059573
